Description

As cyber threats grow in sophistication, organizations of all sizes are urgently seeking expert partners to help identify and mitigate their vulnerabilities. At TELUS, our offensive security and penetration testing services play a critical role in helping clients across Canada and beyond understand their security posture and take proactive action.

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Specialist to drive the growth of our offensive security portfolio — including penetration testing, red teaming, and vulnerability assessments — across small, mid-sized, and enterprise accounts. Whether you’re qualifying inbound leads, generating your own pipeline through outbound outreach, or expanding relationships with existing customers, you’ll be the strategic advisor clients trust to guide them through complex cybersecurity decisions.

The impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

You’ll own the full sales cycle and act as a subject matter expert in offensive cybersecurity. Your ability to connect technical services to business value will be key to converting prospects, developing long-term client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that help organizations proactively reduce risk and meet compliance goals.

Here’s how

  • Drive new business and manage active accounts across all market segments (SMB, mid-market, enterprise, public sector)
  • Qualify and respond to inbound leads, while also generating new opportunities through targeted outbound outreach and referral networks
  • Collaborate with technical teams to accurately scope and price penetration testing and offensive security engagements
  • Educate clients on the business value of ethical hacking, vulnerability assessments, and red team services, translating technical risk into strategic insight
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers (e.g., CISO, IT Director, Risk Officers, GRC leaders)
  • Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and solution presentations tailored to client needs
  • Maintain a well-organized pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring accurate forecasting and follow-through
  • Identify and pursue upsell opportunities to expand existing accounts and deepen customer engagement
  • Partner closely with internal teams including cybersecurity consultants, solution architects, and legal to deliver end-to-end client success

Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity sales, with a proven track record in penetration testing, red teaming, or advisory services
  • Strong understanding of offensive security practices, including testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, PTES)
  • Ability to confidently engage with both technical and non-technical audiences and map cybersecurity needs to business goals
  • Familiarity with common compliance and regulatory frameworks such as SOC2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and NIST
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing high-velocity sales cycles across multiple account sizes
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and a disciplined approach to pipeline management and reporting
  • Recognized industry certifications are an asset (e.g., OSCP, GPEN, CEH)
  • Bilingualism (English and French) preferred
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Information Security, or a related field

Why join TELUS?

  • Be part of one of Canada’s leading cybersecurity teams, delivering high-impact offensive security services to clients across all industries

  • Enjoy competitive compensation with performance-based incentives, comprehensive benefits, and flexible work options
  • Collaborate with a diverse and inclusive team committed to innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement
