In TELUS Business Solutions (TBS), we’re using our world-leading networks and 5G innovation to help digitally transform business and industries across Canada. To get there… we have to thoughtfully migrate our customers, small and large, to future-focused solutions and networks. Through this initiative we migrated 10 thousand services in 2022 and are on a path to migrating 15 thousand services off of our legacy copper network in 2023. We are on a journey to become a cloud-based and digital-native services organization. To help drive our success we are removing complexities in our business, legacy technology and networks to simplify our product offerings.


What you’ll do:


As a Senior Strategy Manager - focusing on moving customers off of our legacy products and networks - you will own, evolve, influence, and execute on our customer migration strategy. You will support the identification of strategic priorities and the scoping of key programs to drive customers to connect to our networks with the latest and greatest technologies available, including TELUS PureFibre, wireless and 5G, or blended network solutions.


This exciting role involves partnership with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product and Field to execute on initiatives with high complexity and/or business impact. You will own the evolution of our customer experience, bringing innovation and strategic thought to create the optimal customer journey as we migrate customers to more sustainable and reliable future-focused solutions.


In addition, this role will allow you to utilize your best-in-class oral and written communication skills to build compelling stories to achieve “buy-in” on why change is necessary to grow the business and clearly articulate to senior leadership the journey required to achieve it. As well as, participating in crafting key messaging and updates to executive leadership on progress, risks and challenges, mitigation strategies, and future plans for our business.





What you bring:


  • Accountable for defining strategy, roadmap and requirements, business case, and ideating creative solutions that will transform the way TELUS Business Solutions manages its copper retirement/migration program
  • Demonstrable influence and strategy skills: planning, budget management, variance reporting, root cause analysis
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles including pricing, revenue share, value propositions, and demand drivers
  • Strong analytical, business and financial acumen; strong problem-solving skills and ability to use analytics to distill insights that allow you to make thoughtful, strategic recommendations
  • Compelling story-telling, distilling complex problems into concise summaries
  • Strong communication skills, experience delivery and developing executive-level presentations
  • Strong ability to build business relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Highly motivated, creative and self-starter with the ability to work successfully under pressure
  • Thrive in ambiguity with the ability to transform the complicated into simple
  • Excellent project management and change management skills
  • Post-Secondary diploma/certification in business or equivalent experience




  • Telecommunications experience and exposure to a variety of strategic roles
  • Working knowledge of TELUS products, services and strategic direction
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), Prosci Change Management Professional (CMP) and Kaizen (Own.It) certification an asset
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets & Slides)
  • Proficiency with Asana project management system
