Join our team

TELUS Commercial and Public Sector (C&PS) is a Marketing environment like no other at TELUS! The C&PS Wireline Strategy and Planning team leads the management of the C&PS Wireline P&L, as well as senior leadership presentations and analytical deep dives. We are a high-performing team that values diversity of thought and experience to stay connected with our customers. We are also small and nimble, which offers us the ability to work across many functions and realize unparalleled professional growth.

The Wireline Planning team is a passionate and collaborative group specializing in sophisticated forecasting models, predictive analytics, and strategic business intelligence. Working in our team will give you the opportunity to learn about all aspects of our business – not just Marketing – while leveraging cutting-edge data science techniques and AI-powered insights to drive decision-making. We value our team's engagement and connect through collaborative workstyles, local and national team events, and by giving back to our communities through volunteer activities. We are a team that strives for top-notch customer and business outcomes but also balances that with team member engagement and flexibility.

Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you'll take an "internal consultant" approach to thinking through the strategic competitor and customer-facing challenges at the core of our business objectives. You'll be the architect of our wireline forecasting ecosystem, building sophisticated predictive models that anticipate market trends, customer behavior, and revenue opportunities 3-18 months ahead. Through collaborating with key stakeholders across various teams and business units, you will actively manage the TBS Wireline KPIs around our product portfolio while transforming complex datasets into compelling narratives that drive executive decision-making. Collaborating with Marketing, Finance, and Strategy teams around the organization, you'll connect the dots between our day-to-day activities and the broader TELUS strategy to identify and solve important business challenges that are critical to our success.

Here's how

  • Own, manage, and improve our Wireline budgeting, forecasting, and triage strategy to drive P&L revenue and margin growth through advanced statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and AI-enhanced predictive analytics
  • Serve as the key point of contact for the Commercial/Public Wireline P&L by collaborating with senior leadership, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to provide stewardship and drive strong business outcomes through data-driven storytelling and interactive dashboard development
  • Responsible for setting targets and monitoring the performance of core key performance indicators (KPIs) including gross loading, deactivations, and average revenue/margin per line (ARPL/ARPM) using real-time analytics and automated reporting systems
  • Lead ad hoc analytical deep dives into market anomalies, competitive threats, and emerging opportunities, translating findings into actionable strategic recommendations through compelling visualizations and executive-ready presentations
  • Regularly review segment results to identify financial business challenges and support solving those challenges through process automation, predictive modeling, and AI-powered insights
  • Develop relationships not just within the Wireline Marketing team, but also across the rest of the organization to ensure there is a solid understanding of and alignment to our strategic priorities
  • Contribute to Senior leadership presentations, including strategy checks, board advances, and monthly financial reviews, transforming complex data into clear, impactful visual stories that drive decision-making

Qualifications
