What you’ll do*

 

As a Senior Technical Product Manager (Consumer Cybersecurity) on the TELUS Online Security team, you will provide critical ownership of our evolving consumer cybersecurity products and services roadmap. You will be relied upon for your thought leadership on emerging trends in cybersecurity with the goal of creating simple, safe and valued customer experiences backed by your considerable knowledge of online security as well as business strategy and product marketing acumen.

 

As a champion for developing new ideas, you will lead our long-term strategic planning efforts including market research and solutioning activities to support strong financial business models and help refine our go-to-market strategy. Consulted for your technical and market insights, you will also be responsible for supporting partner and vendor engagement activities to meet business objectives. 

What you bring*

 

  • Valued for your five or more years of product management experience within large enterprise organizations.
  • Strong technical knowledge and/or experience within the consumer online security landscape.
  • Recognized for your high degree of curiosity, strategic thinking and collaboration.
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distil complex and/or ambiguous problems into clear, actionable plans.
  • Proven leadership and exceptional organizational & project management skills.
  • Experienced communicator with an ability to lead executive-level presentations on complex subjects.
  • A keen ability to collaborate with different stakeholder groups (architecture, engineering, marketing, partners) for alignment and execution. 
  • Previous experience leveraging modern technology stacks to power consumer-facing products on mobile and web, using modular platform and API components. 

 

Great-to-haves*

 

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering or Computer Science and/or Masters of Business Administration. 
  • Understanding of consumer security and privacy products including endpoint security, VPNs, password managers, identity theft protection services, credit monitoring, home network security, federal and provincial laws/regulations etc.
  • Accreditations such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or similar; PMP certification.
  • Experience in security product management, including new product incubation, platform and service design, systems integration and capability improvements.
