Within the Business Network & Systems organization, the Value Add Services team tirelessly works across the TELUS Business Solutions organization to drive profitable growth across a critical set of products that small and medium-sized businesses need to fuel their business success such as unified communications (Business Connect), entertainment (Business TV), security (TELUS Secure Business), ubiquitous connectivity (Business Wi-Fi) and voice. It is our goal as a team to ensure our products and services are easy to buy, easy to sell, easy to deliver, and easy to support for our internal and external customers.

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Technical Product Manager - SMB Business Wi-Fi, who is passionate about technology and its ability to help businesses enhance their own customer experience and business outcomes. The Business Wi-Fi product is positioned towards small and medium business customers to help them deliver an exceptional customer experience through the power of fast, seamless and reliable connectivity. We’re looking for someone with experience in leading product development in a technical context to position the right Wi-Fi solutions to SMB customers that are simple and easy to implement, manage and use alongside their broader portfolio of TELUS products and services.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Reporting to the Director of Products and Services - Value add services, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the product management and value chain processes for our SMB Business Wi-Fi product. You will define and execute on Wi-Fi technology driven roadmaps to ensure that there is a solution and suitable value chain for our customers. In addition, you will work with customer marketing, sales and operations teams to identify go to market plans that stem from any gaps in our solution set that inhibit customer adoption. Working together and with others, the Senior Technical Product Manager - Business Wi-Fi will make the following impact and accomplishments:

 

  1. You will develop and deliver the Business Wi-Fi product roadmap that integrates industry trends, customer feedback and stakeholder input
  2. You will analyze the Business Wi-Fi value chain to drive customer implementation success and profitable growth
  3. You will understand and drive product performance improvements through tracking key KPIs aligned to making the Business Wi-Fi product easy to buy, sell, deliver and support
  4. You will continuously keep a pulse on the competitive landscape to maintain an advantage in the market
  5. You will strategize with customer marketing, sales and other product teams to utilize the Business Wi-Fi product value proposition to increase product intensity within the SMB market
  6. You will collaborate with operations teams to find opportunities to streamline product fulfillment processes that improve cost structure and reduce waste
  7. You will leverage your knowledge of financial concepts to create financial and marketing analysis for the SMB Wi-Fi portfolio, as well as business case development
  8. You will mitigate supply chain risk by proactively monitoring inventory levels and closely collaborating with external vendors on product ordering forecasts

Great to haves:

 

  • MBA or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a technology-facing role such as technology architecture, operations or product management
  • Knowledge of TELUS cross-functional operations and/or industry experience
