As part of the TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) organization, the Technical Sales team is responsible for supporting our Sales organization and advocating for our customers. From ownership of our deal pursuit and bid processes  to technical solutioning, project management and managing customer relationships, the team focuses on accelerating our capability to support our business products and services, while taking ownership of account profitability and driving best-in-class revenue assurance practices for the mutual support of both our customers and our business.


The Technical Sales –Senior IOT Solutions Architect plays a key role in providing TELUS’ 5G and LTE networkbased IT solutions sales support. In addition to technical mastery, the ideal candidate must have good sales and business acumen. Working directly with TELUS customers, the candidate will analyze customers’ business and technical requirements to find solutions that meet their operational needs. This is a remote opportunity and we have openings in both the East and the West of Canada.


We aim for excellence in design to offer integrated solutions comprising various technologies, and work with a large team of experts from different fields.


Your responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of customer solutions and work closely with all levels of IT Operations, Product Marketing, Sales and Project Management to make sure that the proposed solutions are feasible and sustainable.
  • Respond to RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, etc., prepare solution diagrams, technical descriptions, and presentation materials for prospective customers.
  • Translate complex technical information into compelling and easy-to-understand business propositions.
  • Work with the sales and accounts teams to integrate the proposed solutions into the customers’ overall IT environment and strategy.
  • Take responsibility for the architecture, design and customer specifications of TELUS’ 5G and LTE networkbased solutions.
  • Remain responsible for the solution until it has been made operational in the transition project, and ensure an efficient transfer of responsibility to the Implementation and Project Management Offices.
  • Stay up-to-date on new developments in the industry by attending fairs and conferences, and engaging in forum discussions. Compare TELUS products and services with those offered by the competition.
  • Deliver presentations to TELUS internal audiences as well as customers.

  • Architecture et exploitation des réseaux mobiles (3G, 4G et 5G)

Connaissance de l’Internet des objets et des produits, services et solutions mobiles :

  • Architecture de solutions de point d’accès privé (Réseau IP de TELUS et protocole RVP)
  • Outils de gestion des abonnements CISCO Jasper
  • Solutions de marchandisage et de repérage des véhicules, comme Fleet Complete, SkyHawk Telematics, FOCUS et GEOTrac
  • Solutions pour travailleurs solitaires : SafetyAware et Avis et Assistance TELUS
  • Affichage numérique, formulaires électroniques, paiements mobiles, solutions de surveillance par caméra
  • Solutions de basculement sur connexion LTE
  • Solutions d’appuyer-pour-parler et du service de programmation par contournement
  • Gestion de la mobilité d’entreprise, comme MobileIron, SOTI, Workspace One de VMWare et BlackBerry
  • Gestion unifiée des terminaux (UEM) de Dynamic, gestion d’appareils mobiles de KNOX et Managed Engine


Autres compétences

  • Appareils mobiles robustes et leurs caractéristiques (sécurité intrinsèque, indice de protection, spécification militaire
  • Modules, modems, routeurs sans fil comme DIGI, Cradlepoint, Sierra Wireless, Cypress, Microhard, CISCO, Meraki, Telit, u-blox, MultiTech et Briowireless
  • Capacité à identifier rapidement la stratégie du client et ses problèmes techniques et opérationnels principaux
  • Aptitude avérée à développer des solutions concurrentielles à valeur ajoutée qui sont créatives et novatrices
  • Expérience et titres professionnels
  • Diplôme d’études postsecondaires en informatique ou en ingénierie informatique, ou l’équivalent
  • Formation en vente, en consultation ou en planification de comptes, un atout important
  • Au moins cinq ans d’expérience dans le domaine des TI avec un minimum de deux ans dans des fonctions d’ingénierie de prévente
  • Bilinguisme
