You will be a trusted Finance Business Partner to several key TELUS stakeholders groups. You will be a fundamental contributor to our overall CIO financial maintenance and reporting. You will translate financial data into value added reporting and high level stories that ultimately help drive decision making. Using your fresh eyes and creative approach, you will help to simplify and improve our processes. If you are a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment, loves maintaining details and translating into the big picture, and excels at building relationships, this is the role for you!


Here’s what you will do

 

  • Act as a Finance Prime for an assigned business unit with the support of a controller
  • Prepare accounting entries, monthly reporting, and perform related variance analysis
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements through simplification and automation, to achieve greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • Assist with the preparation of information to address asks from the business 
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials for VP/SVP level presentations
  • Assist the director and controller with Ad-Hoc tasks and requirements

  • Strong time management, problem solving and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with month-end close work, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and controls monitoring & remediation
  • Schedule flexibility to manage deadlines
  • Business Finance or Accounting related degree and Accounting Designation (CPA) or working towards one
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Office, with a strong knowledge of Excel and GSuite

 

 

Salary Range:  $86,000-$130,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
