The B2B Capital Business Case Governance team is the ideal place to realize your personal and professional growth while having a material impact on the long term strategy of TELUS Business Solutions (TBS), TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods (TAC) and TELUS Health (TH). Within our team, you will be utilizing your analytical skills to support decision-making as we make critical capital investments, as well as provide planning, governance and guidance to the program teams.  Further, your oversight will help ensure that TBS, TAC and TH achieve the returns desired from these investments. 

 

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will play a critical role in our overall capital management processes, ensuring we are making strong investment decisions and fueling our profitable growth.

 

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and key partners to provide support during business case development process
  • Pressure-test and provide oversight to ensure business case assumptions and drivers are valid
  • Work closely with Finance and Marketing to ensure alignment with approved capital project benefits
  • Organize and oversee business case submissions for capital and condense them into a digestible output format while ensuring stringent error-checking and version control
  • Provide executive leadership support to ensure deliverables are completed in a timely manner
  • Roll up your sleeves to find solutions for our biggest problems for the senior leaders in our organization
  • Challenge the status quo of existing processes and technologies to continue the evolution and enhancement journey
  • Pivot as required by leadership to meet critical needs of the business and team

 

 

Qualifications


  • What you bring

    • Excellent presentation & communication skills for executive & frontline audiences - ability to present complex concepts to senior executives: You are able to look at a problem from 20,000 feet to understand its macro impact and conduct deep analysis to develop your understanding at a micro level
    • Self-starter with a curious and tenacious nature; you actively seek out change through critical questioning, innovation, service and continuous improvement
    • Outstanding communication and collaboration: The team is constantly in conversation with key stakeholders in the organization, you are expected to have strong presentation skills, confidence in your analysis and open-minded approach to influence decision-making
    • Ability to generate insights and recommendations. Valued for your business and financial acumen you are able to articulate current state using meaningful metrics for your audience, convey impact, and identify process improvement opportunities

     

    Great-to-haves

    • Post-secondary degree in Business or Finance and/or equivalent experience
    • Skilled in project and/or program management with PMP/PgMP certification
    • Expertise in the TELUS Business Solutions, TELUS Agriculture organization or TELUS Health
    • Experience in strategy, finance or operations roles with demonstrated leadership performance and career progression
    • Expert-level Excel / Google Sheets skills
     
Salary Range:  $102,000-$154,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
