The Consumer Capital team is passionate about enabling go-to-market and internal capabilities to deliver on the Consumer strategy, maximize portfolio returns & enhance the customer experience.
As part of the Consumer Capital team, the Strategy Manager is responsible for managing the capital efficiencies program in order to deliver millions of dollars of capital savings each year. You will also support the development of capital governance for a portfolio managing hundreds of millions of dollars. You will bring together a wide range of business stakeholders in order to deliver robust capital stewardship.
The role focuses on establishing a capital efficiencies program, building appropriate reporting, and program management of efficiencies from ideation to execution. You will be involved in advancing capital governance for the core TELUS consumer services specifically focused on TV, internet, security, and home services.

Here's how
- Capital Efficiencies: establish the program management function for the new capital efficiencies program and all the supporting processes and reporting
- Governance: review current processes, implement improvements, ensure all initiatives within the portfolio maintain a high standard of compliance on TELUS’ governance requirements
- Business Casing: review capital efficiencies business cases assess proposed benefits and interlock efficiencies with stakeholders and financial modeling primes
- Executive Reporting & Performance Analysis: provide regular executive-level presentations and reporting, as well as ad-hoc analysis across multiple related topics
- Promote and enhance the use of economic models to support prioritized investment decisions

Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- 2-5 years of equivalent experience
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and with a track record of building and developing cross-functional relationships
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with large complex technical data sets
- Strong business insight and ability to identify new opportunities and connect the dots between related projects and programs
- Able to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring communication to diverse audiences to facilitate dialogue and debate
- Experience in building and analyzing business cases
- Excellent organization and planning skills; ability to manage a large number of tasks to manage the portfolio in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Self-motivated having high standards of performance with the ability to deal with complex concepts and ambiguity
Great-to-haves
- Accounting designation
- Program Management experience would be an asset
- Telecommunications/wireline industry experience an asset
