The Consumer Capital team is passionate about enabling go-to-market and internal capabilities to deliver on the Consumer strategy, maximize portfolio returns & enhance the customer experience.

 

Within the Consumer Capital team is our Market Leadership Team (MLT) - a small but high performing team, responsible for governing a capital portfolio of hundreds of millions of dollars each year. As part of the MLT, you will be responsible for managing the annual capital planning process and driving monthly performance updates at the Consumer Capital Leadership Forums. As well, you will collaborate with other MLT Capital team members to deliver on annual capital efficiency targets, leverage existing financial management processes to support reporting requirements and partnering with business stakeholders of all levels across TELUS Consumer Solutions to support capital goals.

You have strong business acumen - you are able to analyze business cases, understand the business implications of decisions, and provide guidance to stakeholders. You have the passion to constantly challenge the status quo and to seek and drive continuous improvements. Here's how

 

  • Annual Capital Planning: establish the annual planning program for 2026 capital allocations and supporting processes & reporting  
  • Governance: implement process improvements, ensure all initiatives within the portfolio maintain a high standard of compliance on TELUS’ governance requirements
  • Business Casing: partner with key stakeholders and finance leads to review, challenge, and enhance business cases - ensuring clarity on benefits, resource needs, and strategic alignment
  • Executive Reporting & Performance Analysis: provide regular executive-level reporting, as well as ad-hoc analysis across multiple related topics
  • Stakeholder & Change Management: work as a trusted advisor and influencer, building strong relationships across TCS to foster engagement, drive adoption of capital governance practices, and support change initiatives.

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • 5-7 years of equivalent experience
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and with a track record of building and developing cross-functional relationships
  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with large complex technical data sets
  • Strong business insight and ability to identify new opportunities and connect the dots between related projects and programs
  • Able to present complex information in an easily understood manner, tailoring communication to diverse audiences to facilitate dialogue and debate
  • Experience in building and analyzing business cases is an asset
  • Excellent organization and planning skills; ability to manage a large number of tasks to manage the portfolio in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated having high standards of performance with the ability to deal with complex concepts and ambiguity

 

Great-to-haves
 

  • Program Management experience would be an asset
  • Experience with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite including LookerStudio
  • Telecommunications/wireline industry experience an asset

Salary Range:  $78,000-$116,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
