Role Overview
You will collaborate across business areas and technology teams to develop and deliver the Source to Pay capability roadmap based on effective prioritization of quick wins vs. mid-long term initiatives for optimal time to value. The Source to Pay Strategy Manager will play a critical role in designing and developing the process and technology architecture that helps TELUS drive simple, standard and scalable solutions. This would include planning, designing and releasing new capabilities that help improve the overall process journey and interlock. You will also be an integral part of a team of Business Process Owners collaborating on supply chain transformation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
As an S2P Functional Product Owner, you will work hand in hand supporting the Business Process owners in the S2P area and have the following responsibilities:
- Product Ownership: practical understanding of digital S4 Hana Materials Management, Purchasing and Asset Management capabilities. Working knowledge of digital S2P capabilities with an ability to configure feature functions, develop PoCs/MVPs hands on or in collaboration with implementation teams / external vendors. Working knowledge of P2P, Guided Buying, Planning or Production and Asset Management tools. Be the pivotal point of contact to help general tool administrative tasks, process design and drive adoption of developed solutions. You will directly support the business process owners to continuously drive capability augmentation and adoption by converting process recommendations to configurable system process flows. This may involve but not limited to tasks such as creating catalog management, operational contracts, outline agreements, leveraging business partner, asset management and direct and indirect P2P experience
- Process Excellence: Support the design, documentation, and optimization of business processes as per suggested best practice solutions. You will support identifying current state pain points, process breaks, capability gaps and help implement processes that align with fit-to-standard approach. You will be responsible to develop, measure and monitor S2P KPIs for continuous improvement of compliance and performance.
- Data Stewardship: perform periodic reporting on data quality, identify outliers, process breaks and help maintain standards for S2P master data such as contracts, vendors, categories, segmentation to help drive more accurate organizational reporting
- Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document solid business requirements, user stories that help develop detailed solution blueprints and functional specifications for the technical teams
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with various cross functional stakeholder groups across procurement, business, finance, supply chain, planning, purchasing, risk, IT teams to help identify and drive key decisions across stakeholder groups, presenting options in broader leadership forums. You will be responsible to maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Project Execution Support: You will work closely with project and program managers to support implementation of roadmaps and change management support as part of hypercare and transition activities
- Quality Assurance Testing: Bring an agile approach to testing by supporting the development of test scenarios early on and ensuring the design meets the specific needs and delivers accurate outcomes
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in purchasing, material management, P2P, supplier management, planning, asset management, warehouse processes at management consulting organizations or process center of excellence across industries
- Knowledge of SAP ECC or S4 Hana ERPs or transformation / migration experience with ability to query, report and testing and understanding of S2P data and process flows
- University degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business/ Commerce, Accounting, Computer Science, Management, Engineering and/or similar discipline
- Data analysis skills, root cause analysis, data quality management, KPI driven insights an opportunity analysis with plan for closing identified gaps
- Development of project documentation, process flows, training materials, requirements gathering, UAT scripts etc
- Superior relationship management skills (internal and external suppliers), with an ability to quickly establish rapport with leaders, peers, and working teams
- Adaptable and flexible to learn and take on new tasks and coordinate several competing priorities spanning cross functional groups
- Outcome oriented mindset that adapts to different role requirements ranging from strategic projects to tactical improvements
- Hands-on experience building and executing detailed test cases covering the end to end process flows
- Collaborative communicator who partners effectively with cross-functional teams, leveraging executive storytelling, data visualization, and active listening to drive consensus and translate complexity into actionable strategies
Great-to-haves
- Practical knowledge of administering, implementing or using one or more Procure-to-Pay tools such as SLP, Ariba, iValua and the like for managing supplier lifecycle or guided buying
- Operational experience or in depth knowledge of one or more S2P functional areas such as sourcing, category management, supplier risk management, third party relationship management, purchasing, performance management
- Experience in an agile environment designing and deploying frequent MVP releases
- Certifications - S4 Hana, Digital Procurement Coupa, iValua, GEP, Jagger
- Experience implementing or using SAP Signavio or other process mining tools
