We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Product Manager to join our team.


In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with our product team, pricing team, and other key stakeholders to gather requirements, align them with business objectives, and translate them into clear, actionable tasks for the development team. Your primary focus will be enhancing an internal platform that enables sales to effectively sell our IoT telecom products.


What you’ll do:

 

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g.,product team, pricing team, etc) to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with the product vision and business priorities
  • Manage Roadmap Timelines and Expectations: Distill complex big picture ideas into digestible objectives and two week sprints. Provide realistic timelines for the product capabilities on a regular basis to the stakeholders. You will be focused on software but need to understand and make decisions based on the bigger picture
  • Document Product Requirements and Designs: Create detailed requirement documents, design mockups and write JIRA tickets that clearly outline product features and functionality
  • Manage Product Scope: Understand and communicate the technical complexity, timelines, and business value of software-related products. Make trade-offs to maximize value along the way. Plan, communicate, and set actionable goals for product features for the IoT team
  • Backlog Management: Work closely with the Scrum Master on managing the product backlog by refining and prioritizing user stories and epics for the development team
  • Support Development: Provide support to the development team throughout the product life cycle, answering questions and providing clarity during development
  • Oversee Product Development: Track the progress of product development from ideation to release, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
  • Conduct Product Testing: Collaborate with the QA team to ensure new features are tested thoroughly and meet quality benchmarks before release

 

 

Qualifications

You are likely in a similar Product role today, with many of the talents and experience points below:

 

  • 5 or more years experience in product management, business analysis or a similar role.
  • You are known for your ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into actionable development tasks.
  • You are familiar with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA for creating user stories, managing backlogs, and prioritizing features.
  • You communicate effectively and have an ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • You’ve worked with IoT, ICT/ telecom products or similarly complex IT products/solutions

  • Balanced business/technical background:
    • A foundational level level of technical understanding, sufficient to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues 
    • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) designation.
  • Experience with UX and UI design
  • You are bilingual (English & French)

 

Note that it is a temporary position, covering a Team Member’s maternity leave.
 

 

Salary Range:  $88,000-$132,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%
