We’re a Product Management team on a mission to develop innovative solutions and remarkable experiences that simplify, unify, and transform smart home and entertainment for customers globally. As the Human Interfaces Team in Connected Products & Experiences, we are responsible for uniting experience design and delivery across mobile apps, web, TV screen, wearables and voice, and inspiring the vision as we scale future home products. We interface with stakeholders across the organization to ensure we deliver on business and customer needs alike. Our broader team manages the end-to-end product lifecycle for all aspects of TELUS TV+ and SmartHome+, so you’ll have the support and collaboration of an excellent team of product managers.

 

What you’ll do

 

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in defining and delivering the best customer experiences for TELUS TV+ and SmartHome+. As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for the front-end app product lifecycle from plan and assess, design, build, test and launch. You’ll closely interlock with the technical engineering teams and UI/UX designers to build interfaces that are intuitive, useful, and enjoyable to interact with. You’ll also collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, hardware, and business stakeholders as well as external vendors to launch products and services to market in a fast-paced agile environment.

 

Specifically you’ll:

 

  • Be embedded within an Agile development squad, working with engineering leaders to set sprint goals and define the highest value problems and experience enhancements to solve
  • Break down Features into Epics and User Stories and apply a customer insights and data-driven approach to inform the requirements, acceptance criteria and backlog prioritization
  • Collaborate with the UIUX design team and UX researcher to create experiences that customers trust and enjoy interfacing with
  • Monitor and assess performance and feedback post-launch to make ongoing iterations so that we are developing products and services that truly resonate with users

 

 

Qualifications

  • Known for putting customers first, you always have the best customer and business outcomes at the heart of your decision-making
  • Exceptional leadership to manage cross-functional teams and complex dependencies
  • Recognized for your ability to understand technical concepts and translate them to business teams
  • Passion and knowledge of linear TV / OTT entertainment or smart home / Internet of Things (IoT) as well as understanding of changing market dynamics
  • Experience in any combination of people leadership, product management, software development, and technical project/program management

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, UIUX Design or equivalent practical experience
  • Scrum certified, SAFe agile, lean certifications or relevant experience
  • MBA is an asset

 

 

Salary Range:  $88,000-$132,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
