The Procurement team impacts everything and everyone. We optimize spend across all business units and provide savings that can then be invested to deliver innovative products, services, solutions and exceptional experiences to our customers. We’re the trusted business partner to senior executives accountable for making informed recommendations on strategic and operational expenditures. Our partnership model approach extends to suppliers who become strategic partners in our quest to deliver the best value, minimize risks, introduce innovation, and achieve the best results. Here’s How

 

  • Direct all aspects of large strategic sourcing projects, including direct negotiations and RFx events
  • Direct all aspects of major contract negotiations and compliance
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Optimize the supplier pool within assigned portfolio
  • Interpret spend in order to identify and execute cost savings opportunities
  • Build and execute category strategies
  • Identify and execute ESG opportunities
  • Drive internal process improvement, change and innovation
  • Be a trusted advisor to TELUS stakeholders at all levels, create supplier management strategies
  • Excellent working knowledge of procurement, category management, and supplier sourcing practices
  • Strong communication, storytelling/presentation skills, with proven ability to influence decision makers
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

Education, Experience, Professional Designations

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a fast-paced, complex procurement environment
  • CSCL, SCMP, MBA, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma designations are definite assets
  • Experience in one or more of these categories will be a definite asset: Marketing, Real Estate, Construction, Customer Premises Equipment, and Smart Home Security

Salary Range:  $90,000-$134,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
