The Marketing & Revenue operations team is a dynamic, driven, fast-paced and highly engaged group. Together, the team is responsible for delivering best-in-class brand marketing, customer marketing, product marketing, pricing, revenue forecasting, sales targeting, capital management, business enablement, and business intelligence & analytics capabilities to the overall TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods business. We are the focal point for driving the business’ organic growth strategy and work closely with cross functional partners across our sales, product, finance, technology, and engineering teams.  

 

We are searching for a VP of Marketing & Revenue Operations who will lead this team.  In this role, you’ll play a critical role in enabling the organic growth of the TAC business both by leading these important business functions, but also by supporting the decision making and collaboration of the overall TAC leadership team.

The successful candidate will utilize their strong team leadership, coaching, and decision making skills to support their teams to create market leading outcomes in B2B brand management, customer marketing & demand generation, product marketing & go-to-market enablement, revenue forecasting & sales targeting, and strategic initiatives & capital planning.  In this role, you will lead established teams that are in the process of delivering transformative business results for the overall TAC business.

 

The successful candidate will also utilize their masterful stakeholder management skills and cross-functional leadership to play a critical leadership role in the TAC leadership team.  As part of supporting their team and supporting the overall TAC business, this leader will also possess leading analytical and business decision making skills.  The role will report to the SVP and President of TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods.

With a broad set of responsibilities and a high degree of visibility across the TELUS Agriculture & Consumer Goods organization, the VP of Marketing & Revenue Operations will:

 

  • Flex communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, working with a broad set of stakeholders and executives
  • Mentor, lead, and support a diverse, national, and talented team
  • Develop and present a comprehensive brand refresh strategy gaining buy-in from senior leadership team
  • Launch redesigned product pages on the company website, demonstrating a measurable improvement in lead conversion rates
  • Implement a revamped digital marketing strategy, targeting a 30% increase in Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) compared to the previous six-month period
  • Initiate revenue optimization programs, identifying and implementing strategies to achieve at least $1.5M in pricing initiative benefits
  • Lead the development and promotion of a leading B2B brand in the consumer goods and agriculture Software As A Service (SaaS) industry.
  • Deliver customer marketing campaigns and programs that drive inbound marketing-qualified leads that convert to funnel and support the achievement of our growth targets.
  • Lead a robust product marketing and go-to-market function that educates our sellers, customers, and prospects on the leading capabilities we are delivering in the market.
  • Oversee our pricing function - including standard product pricing, custom pricing governance, as well as ongoing pricing programs.
  • Lead our sales forecasting, project delivery forecasting, and revenue forecasting functions on an ongoing basis (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Lead the annual sales targeting process where targets are connected to budget as well as sales capacity and productivity considerations
  • Support the creation of new business intelligence datasets and tools to support improved customer, product, and profitability insights
  • Champion capital governance and interlock for the overall TAC business.
  • Oversee a robust and impactful enablement team that prioritizes near-term revenue generating and enduring cost take-out ‘quick wins’ in the business

  • You have an impressive people leadership track record with proven ability to recruit, coach, mentor and lead high performing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • You have strong analytical skills and a keen interest in improving sales performance through prior experience in marketing, channel management, finance or strategy consulting
  • You are resilient and adept at challenging the status quo by constantly observing, being curious and asking questions
  • You are a skilled relationship builder and skilled at prioritization, negotiation and influencing
  • You have demonstrated the ability to successfully deliver complex projects involving people, process, technology, and change management
  • You can pivot between supporting the urgent needs of the business and the long-term roadmap 

 

Great-to-haves:

 

  • Business or technical educational background (computer science, engineering), and/or an MBA
  • 15+ years of progressive and relevant work experience in customer marketing, channel management, finance, or strategy consulting
  • Prior SaaS, agriculture, CPG, or telecommunications expertise
  • B2B experience would be an asset
  • Salesforce.com experience

Salary Range: 
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
