Our team is passionate about supporting the development, governance and management of strategic forecasting and planning for the holistic Consumer Marketing organization. We help define, articulate, and track against our overall strategic direction and priorities to win and sustain share in the Canadian telecommunications market. Our mandate includes budget setting and forecasting for the Wireless product portfolio across all Consumer segments, tracking and reporting on key financial and performance metrics, and delivering strategic deep-dives and programs.
Our focus is on gaining a deep understanding of our business and customers, and using it to envision, build, and articulate the innovative strategies that will help us win in the market. We also work closely with our Executive leadership team to help communicate and drive these strategies across the organization.
Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together:
As a Market Intelligence Manager you’ll own and drive planning + consolidation of key Financial KPIs for Telus Consumer Mobility including budgeting/forecasting, performance management and deep-dive analytics.
With line of sight across many of our core KPI’s and brands, you’ll keep your finger on the pulse of our business performance, build relationships across the Consumer Marketing organization to inform your perspectives, and help us take our strategy and planning processes to the next level of accuracy and relevance.
You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders across the Marketing, Business Intelligence, Finance, Sales and Product teams to understand current business performance and assess forward-looking views.
Here’s the impact you’ll make:
- Drive the end-to-end Financial revenue and EBITDA triage consolidation process for Telus Consumer Mobility. Work with Marketing, Planning and Finance primes to align on submissions and deliver a cohesive story to senior executives marrying targets to strategy and market dynamics
- Work internally with Subscriber & Revenue Planning peers as well as Finance partners to understand holistic performance relative to targets and complete analyses to uncover opportunities to meet or exceed short & long-term targets
- Become a trusted partner to Marketing & Finance primes. Work collaboratively with partners to align upon identified opportunities and take action as required
- Identify and present opportunities to senior leadership and create clarity and visibility to the P&L as well as key financial metrics across TCS Wireless
- Spearhead the communication of ARPU / revenue and EBITDA opportunities to senior executives by driving cross-functional alignment on key opportunities in our funnel as well as risks to plan
- Support the budget and monthly strategic planning process for TCS Mobility. Work with our marketing and finance partners on interlocking on key programs and market dynamics that should be considered in our 1 to 3 year subscriber and revenue forecasts
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 2-5 years financial/strategic planning & performance analysis experience
- Strong quantitative skills and business acumen with a track record of proactively deriving strategic insights and thoughtful recommendations that contemplate financial, operational and customer considerations
- Forward looking vision i.e. ability to always focus on 6 months ahead coupled with strong business and financial acumen
- Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities/needs
Great to haves:
- Intermediate SQL, and/or Google BigQuery skills considered an asset
- AI-based fluency - specific to driving workflow automation and productivity
- Wireless industry knowledge and experience
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
