PA is responsible for enabling HR and Business leaders with insights to make evidence-based decisions which support the creation and execution of People and Business strategies. This is a critical, blended role requiring deep expertise in Behavioral Science and advanced Data Analytics, specifically focused on utilizing large datasets to continuously measure and drive the organization's culture. The professional will be the subject matter expert in Employee Listening (VoE), integrating behavioral data with sentiment and operational data to yield in-depth cultural/employee analysis. This role is key to ensuring that insights inform proactive culture management, drive smart business decisions, and improve productivity.
The Senior Strategy Manager will use consulting and analytical skills to deliver people analytics and insights to TELUS’ Business Leaders and HR to drive people strategy and strategic workforce decisions. The job will be a combination of managing the Employee Listening survey strategy and implementation and servicing other analytical requests (70/30 split).
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Owns the end-to-end design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Employee Listening surveys and insight products, defining user needs, testing usability, tracking adoption and effectiveness, and iterating dashboards and reports to maximize clarity and actionability for leaders and partners.

Applies behavioural science methodologies to the design, testing, and evaluation of survey data. Develops hypotheses about behavioral drivers of culture outcomes, leads pilots, and refines approaches based on evidence.

Leads the application of advanced analytics and qualitative techniques to synthesize behavioral, survey data, sentiment, and operational employee data into actionable insights.

Develops rationale for benchmarks for chosen indicators and works with risk subject matter experts to identify risk thresholds related to appropriate Employee Listening KPIs.

Operates as a senior individual contributor with enterprise-wide accountability for the quality, integrity, and impact of Employee Listening insights, influencing outcomes across business lines and leadership levels, including the design of role and persona-based dashboards for senior leaders and managers.

Builds enterprise capability to act on employee listening insights by designing and delivering enablement for leaders, HR partners, and stakeholders. Develops guidance, tools, and learning materials that translate insights into clear actions.

Uses advanced statistical analysis to obtain strategic insights.

Ensures effective and efficient operations in accordance with organizational values and Code of Conduct, while ensuring adequacy and adherence to operational, compliance, and risk controls.
Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle

5 - 8 years of relevant experience in HR or related fields

Expertise in Employee Listening / Voice of the Employee (e.g., employee surveys) and psychometrics is mandatory.

Behavioural Science and Research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).

Ability to work with diverse data sources: employee surveys, behaviour data, HR data; familiarity with analytics and reporting tools.

Computational thinking and programming, data wrangling & preprocessing.

Proficiency in R, Python or statistical software packages (e.g. SAS, SPSS)

High business and analytical acumen with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence and partner with stakeholders

Ability to draw conclusions using data in order to answer business questions through insights and story telling to clearly communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders

Strong understanding of the HR function, systems, and data or a demonstrated ability to quickly acquire functional expertise

Proven ability to work collaboratively across business units, geographies, and disciplines.

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Learning orientation and desire to stay ahead of the latest developments in the field of HR reporting, analytics and related technology

Demonstrated understanding of ethical data practices and responsible use of employee data in decision-making
Great-to-haves
Preference will be given to candidates with some combination of the following:

Experience in designing and implementing A/B Testing, measuring and improving processes to enhance Employee experience

Ability to query data using SQL/BigQuery

Experience using AI to support verbatim and sentiment analyses
Education

Masters or PhD in a related field of study (e.g., Behavioural Science, organizational psychology, Mathematics, statistics & operations research)

Language – Bilingual English/French an asset
Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its international scope.
